It’s about achieving academic excellence in every subject, whether in General or Judaic Studies. It’s about learning and living the values we have inherited as Jewish Americans. It’s about being part of a community of Jews from across the spectrum of religious affiliation who celebrate what they have in common and cherish their individuality. It’s about being empowered as an individual by a medley of opportunities for self-expression and growth, from arts to social activism, and athletics to political action. And it’s about being prepared for life beyond the walls of Beth Tfiloh.
We take great pride in our Beth Tfiloh alumni who are making a difference throughout the world. They have assumed Jewish leadership roles on their college campuses, and have established themselves as leaders in a wide range of professions and endeavors, including law, medicine, computer science, engineering, education, business, finance, non-profit management, journalism, Judaic studies, Jewish leadership, the arts, and military service in both the U.S. and Israel.
One of the most dramatic measures of the value of a BT education is our growing number of second generation BT families (we call them “BT Dorot”) – current students with one or both parents who graduated from Beth Tfiloh. This school year, this group will be more than 100 students strong, and comprise over 10 percent of our student body. They are a testament to the widely-held belief among our alumni that a Beth Tfiloh education is essential to shaping their children’s Jewish identity and preparing them for a successful future.
