Ysgol Cae'r Nant opened in September 2012, it was an amalgamation of two very much loved schools; Dee Road Infant School and Custom House Lane Junior School. Ysgol Cae'r Nant has approximately 400 pupils on roll and we are proud to work within the community of Connah's Quay.

At Ysgol Cae'r Nant we foster a nurturing environment to enable our community to 'learn together to do our best,' pupils are not afraid to take risks and we look upon mistakes as learning opportunities. Pupil voice is very important to us, learners co-construct their curriculum and as a result are inspired every day, they are heavily invested in their learning.

Our aim is to ensure that every child feels valued and that with our care, they will make excellent progress and reach their full potential. At Ysgol Cae'r Nant we want your child/children to be happy, confident, safe and secure. We provide a wealth of different opportunities for them to grow not just academically but socially, emotionally and physically too. Your children will be supported in their learning by a highly skilled and committed team of educators and teachers.

Effective communication is vital, if there is anything you would like to ask please don't hesitate to do so. We look forward to forging effective partnerships between home and school, your children will make better progress when we work together. The school aims to establish a happy, hard-working atmosphere to encourage sound inter-personal relationships between pupil, teacher and parent/carer.
