Sealand School is an English Medium, Local Authority County Primary School. Our planned admission number is 30 and approximately 30 children are admitted each September into Nursery and our classes of mixed ability boys and girls are welcomed, inspired and nurtured throughout their primary school life. We liaise closely with the local community and access a wealth of support and resources to support our pupils in their development as responsible and caring community members.

Our aim is to provide a happy, secure environment in which our children enjoy a wide range of learning experiences, are encouraged to become independent learners and reach their maximum potential. Respect for all is key to the ethos of our school. Our mission statement ‘Working, Learning and Growing Together’ or ‘WLG at Sealand CP’ was formulated by our School Council in June 2012 following consultation within our school community.

The school fosters a culture of respect and expects high standards of behaviour from all pupils. Golden Rules are in operation throughout the school and are widely displayed and promoted. Our behaviour policy is available upon request.

A Golden Ticket system is in place to reward pupils for following our Golden Rules/exceptional attitude/effort/achievement. Golden Tickets are counted throughout the year and stars/rewards achieved linked to the number achieved. Golden Tickets are awarded in our celebration assembly on a Friday. Pupils all start the week with a twenty minute Golden Time session which they will have on a Friday however pupils will lose minutes as a consequence of negative behaviour.

Blue Tickets are given to pupils in response to negative behaviour, a Blue Ticket cancels out a Golden Ticket. If a child receives 5 Blue Tickets parents will be invited to school to discuss their behaviour and targets for improvement agreed. All Golden and Blue Tickets are sent home with the pupil. All pupils are in either Blue, Green, Yellow or Red House and Dojopoints are awarded throughout the school for a variety of positive aspects and a termly award enjoyed by the winning house.
