Les Oliviers French Montessori is Singapore’s only authentic Montessori school in French and English. Located in the quiet neighborhood of Namly place on Bukit Timah, we welcome children from 18 months to 6 years old in drop off programs. Our programs are run by AMI (Assocation Montessori Internationale) trained French educator and English-speaking assistants.
We are also offering a weekly introductive program for babies and caregivers “Montessori, You & Me”. Montessori education offers a unique experience designed to help the child maximize full human potential.
Les Oliviers French Montessori has been created with the view of offering to families an authentic Montessori school and a strong exposition to French and the French culture. Thanks to the philosophy of Maria Montessori, children can acquire the tools that will allow them to become contented adults and beneficial actors of the society of tomorrow.
The environment prepared by the adult allows the normal development of the child towards autonomy. Quiet environment, shelves within the reach of the children who could choose their material, keeps it as long as necessary and bring it back to its place so that it can be available for another child.
Each child is unique. The time required for each to integrate, to experiment, varies from one child to another, from one moment to another, from one material to another. Everyone has the time to understand, to deepen, to incorporate knowledge at their own pace. Each stage of the teaching material prepares the next one and allows everyone to progress on a daily basis.
The Infant Community is a home away from home for the youngest children and a supportive extension of the learning that has already begun at home. Les Oliviers has one Infant Community that includes a French-speaking AMI Montessori-trained guide and an English-speaking assistant.
Each classroom is a specially prepared environment designed to meet the needs of children this age allowing them to become independent and develop curiosity and concentration.

Performed kamishibai storytelling at les Oliviers for both classes. Apart from having a blast with the 18-36 month old students and the 3-6 year old students and their teachers?, I was so impressed by their seamless switch between English and French. And yes, bilingualism is my expertise! You rock, les Oliviers team!
