Located in the heart of downtown Charleston, Charleston Catholic High School is a private, coeducational, Catholic school enrolling students from a variety of Christian and non-Christian backgrounds and from a wide range of ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. CCHS boasts 450 students in grades 6-12, including 259 in grades 9-12. Charleston Catholic follows a rigorous college preparatory program for all students while offering an extensive choice of athletic and extracurricular programs. Typically, 100% of graduating classes enroll in four-year colleges and universities throughout the United States. Charleston Catholic High School is accredited by the North Central Association of Schools.

Charleston Catholic High School challenges students intellectually, spiritually, and personally in a supportive atmosphere. Daily theology classes provide opportunities for faith development, personal growth, and an understanding of others’ viewpoints. Our graduates develop solid work ethics, generous hearts, and confidence through their high school experiences. Over 90 percent of our students participate in school sports and other extracurricular activities, building leadership, teamwork, and other skills that will benefit them now and in the future. One hundred percent of our students participate in community service efforts, with a majority of their efforts focusing on the disadvantaged and underserved. Attendance at cultural arts events is a requirement.

The Charleston Catholic curriculum is solid with a well-defined core of required courses. One hundred percent of our graduates have completed full-year courses in physics, biology, and chemistry. Over 65 percent have completed additional science courses in Biology II, AP Biology, AP Physics, General Physics and Anatomy/Physiology. One hundred percent have completed math courses beyond Algebra II, with 90 percent completing Trigonometry/Precalculus, and 52 percent completing Calculus. One hundred percent have completed at least two years of a foreign language during their high school years (Latin, French and Spanish) and 81 percent have completed three or more years. Students must earn 29 credits for graduation from Charleston Catholic High School.
