The degree prepares you by delivering a strong foundation in basic sciences, statics, dynamics, mechanics of solids, thermofluids and materials. It offers advanced options in manufacturing, novel materials, and micro-scale devices.

Mechanical engineers analyse, conceptualise, design and manufacture items from the very small (such as micro machines) to the very large (such as aircraft). Mechanical engineers are central to the production of almost every item that we use.

Units

This rank has been converted into equivalent scores for various recognised international high school qualifications and university entrance examinations, including global qualifications like the International Baccalaureate (IB) and GCE A-Levels.

All applicants for undergraduate coursework studies at Macquarie University are required to provide evidence of proficiency in English.

You may satisfy the English language requirements if you have completed:
