Degrees may be flexibly layered across certificate, associate, and bachelor's programs in a variety of in-demand fields.
Better still, we surround our students with the personal support and the professional guidance they need — not just to earn degrees, but to change lives for themselves, their families, and their communities.
The mission of Goodwin College is to educate a diverse student population in a dynamic environment that aligns education, commerce and community. Our innovative programs of study prepare students for professional careers while promoting lifelong learning and civic responsibility. As a nurturing college community we challenge students, faculty, staff and administration to fully realize their highest academic, professional and personal potential.
We believe everyone should have access to a quality education. We believe that you should have the chance to succeed, no matter where you’ve been or where you plan to go. Maybe you didn’t find success at another college, or you just didn’t think you had the time, money, or support to see college through. Goodwin is here to turn it around for you. Start your future today at Goodwin.
Operating under an open enrollment model, Goodwin seeks to admit all students who have academic potential, regardless of past performance. Once admitted, students have access to a variety of tools to help them excel, including counseling, tutoring, and career placement services. As a result of this inclusive approach, Goodwin is one of the most diverse colleges in the state, with over half of our students being the first in their families to pursue higher education.
While our students come from diverse backgrounds, they are united by a single purpose — improving their lives through education. We have continued the face-to-face service and career-relevant opportunities that our students have come to expect by expanding student service departments such as Career Services and Academic Advising. We continue to seek new opportunities for growth in order to serve our students as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Our students embark on a dynamic student experience with the opportunity to join various clubs, athletics, student government, social activities, and attend events. At Goodwin College, you will find a supportive environment where our students' needs come first, and our entire community stands behind their success.
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) provides leadership and assistance with strategic planning, academic program development, accreditation, assessment, research and decision making support and other continuous improvement processes that contribute to the advancement of student learning and the fulfillment of the College's mission.
We’ve spent the years since our founding breaking as many traditions as we can in order to benefit our students. We haven’t made college any less challenging, but along the way we’ve removed obstacles to success – because we believe higher education should be accessible, flexible, affordable, career-focused, and supportive.
