Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics

The aim of the Program is to provide orthodontic specialty training with a broad clinical and academic foundation. e education provides the skills and knowledge necessary for diagnosis and care of children, adolescents and adults with an orthodontic treatment need. Graduates are trained to be ethical practitioners committed to lifelong learning and dedicated to fulfilling the public trust. Our academic training program is organized based on a well-structured but self-directed learning environment, modern technologies, and current, evidence based treatment modalities. Residents in training are organized in functional teams and are expected to work together in treatment planning and patient care.

• Assembling a comprehensive patient data base for complete diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Utilizing a clinical understanding of craniofacial growth in planning and carrying out patient treatment.
• Integrating relevant biological, clinical, and behavioral science with patient treatment.
• Using contemporary biomechanical techniques and strategies in orthodontic patient.
• Use of appropriate interdisciplinary consultation and care where appropriate.
• Application of the principles of infection control and environmental safety to patient care and clinical operations.
