The Master's University equips young Christian men and women for spiritual service and leadership - in their careers, in their homes, and through their ministries. Every class we teach and every degree we offer stand on the foundation of God's Word. Our students acquire knowledge from a Biblical perspective, filtering everything they learn through the lens of God's Word. Our students gain wisdom to serve and wisdom to lead. Each admission counselor is an alum of Master's, and is knowledgeable in all areas of the university. Your counselor will provide you with fast, insightful, and practical help at every step of the way - from application, to financial aid, getting registered for dorms, to picking you classes.
The University’s credit policy aims to help students transfer in credits taken at other institutions such as a community college or a University. Students have the ability to transfer in up to 94 units of credit. We also accept Advanced Placement (AP) and CLEP Exams.(The office of the Registrar evaluates all prior learning and determines credit transferability)
Loans must be repaid, they are considered a financial aid award because they are part of the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, one of many programs offered by the federal government to financially assist students. The Office of Financial Aid “awards” Stafford loans to students along with any other aid they are eligible to receive.
In addition, parents may borrow fixed interest rate PLUS LOANS (see the “Parent Loans” section above) . Students may also apply for variable interest rate co-signer PRIVATE LOANS. Contact the Office of Financial Aid at 661-362-2290 or financialaid@masters.edu to discuss these options.
A Federal Stafford loan is a low-interest rate loan offered by the Federal Government to students enrolled at least half-time (6 units). They are offered as subsidized or unsubsidized loans as determined by the FAFSA, and students enter re-payment 6 months after they graduate or drop below 6 units.
Subsidized loans: Interest accrued is paid by the federal government while students are enrolled at least half-time (6 units) and during a 6 month grace period. Unsubsidized loans: Students are responsible to pay all interest accrued for the life of the loan; the interest accrued is capitalized at repayment (students can choose to pay interest while in school to prevent it from capitalizing).
The Master’s University is an advocate for the health and well-being of students through the provision of the Health Center. The Health Center is staffed by a registered nurse, and is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (excluding holidays). Here, students may obtain advice and treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, as well as over-the-counter medications for temporary symptom relief. The Health Center is not equipped to handle serious conditions or medical emergencies. If these types of conditions should arise, the student must be referred off campus for appropriate treatment at their own expense!
