Cork University Foundation (CUF) is a registered charity, No. 11831, through which funds raised by the activities of the Development & Alumni Office at UCC are donated to the university.
CUF is an "approved body" authorised by the Irish Revenue Commissioners for the purposes of tax relief under Section 848A and Schedule 26A of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997 (as inserted by Section 45 of the Finance Act 2001).
UCC has an ancient heritage with a modern focus. Our own Professor Michael Kelly excavated the world’s oldest astronomically aligned structure at Newgrange. Professor George Boole, wrote his “Laws of Thought” here, providing the basis for modern-day computer science.
Our alumni are found excelling in every walk of life throughout the world, from poet to politician, from scientist to philosopher. Today, UCC’s student body of some 20,000 includes over 2,800 from 100 countries. We employ 2,700 professionals. Over one third of our academic staff have come from overseas. The true strength of our University lies in the diversity of the people who work and study here. A very beautiful property. The history is overwhelming. The buildings are constructed of whitestone, limestone I believe. The inside of the older buildings contain gorgeous woodwork and more stone. The library is built from stone mined from the property.

A very Anglo-Saxon atmosphere radiates from this university. First places, typically royal, noble.
Access is completely free and you can walk into the main part of the campus. Allow one hour to take the time to discover and do not hesitate to stop for coffee.

I'm not studying here, but after a fast visit of the campus I really wish I was. The campus is smartly built in order to fit the students' needings. The various complexes that make up the UCC represent a valid example of the best way to use a suburban space.

Beautiful college. Well worth a visit to the grounds for a stroll. Or worth a gander at getting a world class degree if you happen to have a spare 3 years.

I studied civil engineering here in 1980s but didn't really appreciate its superb ancient architecture until I got buried in modern offices as an IT geek! :) LOL

Great college in a fabulous location in the city centre. Wide facilities available to students and lecturers and the views in the campus are amazing, inspiring many photographers and artists alike.
When one walks through the campus, one is happy to go to lectures whether it be wind rain or snow, it has a cosy, friendly atmosphere especially on clear days in May when students and visitors sit on the presidents garden.
Great , inspiring lecturers and there's a range of different courses available to everyone.

In 2011 UCC was ranked Irelands first ever five star university, and having spent many years studying here i'd have to agree. Beautiful campus, excellent courses, and incredible people.
