Dubai, UAE: Following the official opening last September, Brighton College Dubai celebrated its first International Day with a focus on the UAE’s Year of Tolerance at the campus in Al Barsha South today.
The day of celebration started with a parade led by a Scottish bagpiper representing the British heritage of the school. Students from each year group dressed up to represent nationalities from around the globe and toured the school’s classrooms to enjoy various activities and traditions from different countries. The school community learnt about similarities and differences of nationalities from across the world whilst enjoying some tasty food and fun creative elements throughout.

Brighton College Dubai’s ethos around kindness shone through with acceptances of all nationalities, fitting with the UAE’s Year of Tolerance.
Marco Longmore, Head Master at Brighton College Dubai commented: Today, each and every one of us at Brighton College Dubai is celebrating and learning about both the school’s and the world’s diverse community which is reflected wonderfully in the UAE. The celebrations also mark the beginning of our learning about the Year of Tolerance, which ties in perfectly to one of the core values within our school, kindness.”
