The University of Manchester Middle East Centre and Dubai Police have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) through which the university will join the ESAAD loyalty programme for Dubai Police staff and family members. The MoU will form the basis of a university Strategic Talent Management Partnership between the two organisations focusing on higher and professional education opportunities, research, practice management, and networking. The partnership will offer mutual benefits to the two communities’ members, including promotional support, professional networking and special access to the university’s business education programmes.

ESAAD is a loyalty programme that offers exclusive privileges, discounts and promotions to its members including around 30,000 members of Dubai Police, plus other staff (as many as 300,000) at Dubai and UAE government entities, who are predominantly UAE nationals. ESAAD aims to enhance the quality of life and engagement for employees of Dubai Police and their families, and other government departments. The ‘ESAAD’ loyalty card offers exclusive discounts and promotions for employees across services such as education, consulting, hospitality, retail, and real estate. The affiliation program offers exclusive offers, discounts and benefits to strengthen institutional loyalty and improve the quality of life for members for their service and loyalty to their institutions and government departments.

Mona Al Ameri, Head of the ESAAD committee, said: “We are pleased to welcome The University of Manchester to ESAAD and look forward to developing a strong mutually beneficial partnership that will benefit our members and the university’s community in the UAE. As an exclusive university affiliate to ESAAD, we believe the university will make a very positive impact on members who are looking for the benefits of professional development opportunities.”

Randa Bessiso – Middle East Director at The University of Manchester, added: “The Middle East Centre is delighted to join the ESAAD programme as an affiliate Silver Partner and to support the Dubai Police community of staff and family members with special offers to enhance the quality of life. It’s important to the university that we support Dubai and UAE government entities and contribute to their happiness, in appreciation of the outstanding services they provide to the entire community.”

The University of Manchester Middle East Centre has developed into the largest and fastest-growing centre in the University’s international network comprising five hubs in key business cities around the world. The centre has supported more than 2,500 Manchester Global Part-time MBA students based in the region and has graduated around 1,500 MBA students since opening in 2006 in Dubai Knowledge Park. The university’s Middle East regional alumni group comprises more than 2,500 former students.
