To address complex development and environmental concerns, we are pursuing inter- and transdisciplinary programs and collaborative research. We involve local and international universities and research institutions, non-government agencies, and civil society organizations, starting from the member-institutions of the Los Baños Science Community.Connectedness has allowed us to collaborate internationally almost on real time.A dynamic and productive R&D sector provides impetus for more insightful and grounded teaching.
Involvement in R&D activities has enriched the experience of UPLB mentors allowing them more meaningful interactions with their students. It also accords the University the expertise to dispense technical advice in policymaking and to lead in national R&D programs. This R&D mandate is oftentimes carried out in collaboration with member-institutions of the Los Baños science community such as the International Rice Research Institute, World Agroforestry Centre, International Potato Center, International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications, Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture, Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau, Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development, and a host of non-government and civil society organizations.Connectedness has allowed collaborations with other R&D institutions here and abroad.

Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
The school is perfectly well-balanced. The curriculum is well-designed and the professors are very good at what they do. It was definitely a challenging four years of my life. I was tested in interpersonal, logic, analysis, software development, and finance among others.

UPLB has a good studying environment. The professors push the students to their limits for them to produce and work at their best and of course together with their leading and guidance backed up by their expertise in their respective fields. Facilities are good enough to provide the needs of the students and the faculty.

Professors are top-notch from their fields. And the fields are also very specific and rare. For UPLB, almost all of the experts in their respective scientific fields may be found here. But since UPLB started as an agricultural university, the thrust of the institution is more on the scientific rather than artistic knowledge.

Studying in UP is a unique and memorable experience for any person. Here, you would meet a plethora of people of various sex, age, region, ethnicity, religion, and background, that you wouldn't even think of meeting in your lifetime. Yet even if each and everyone is diverse, you would still have that common perspective of trying to serve your country even through small acts. Since the facilities are not the best, UP students are subjected to being resourceful in what they have. The teaching force is a hodgepodge of brilliant minds that would really challenge the capacity of the student's brain. From demonic terror profs to angelic ones, you won't really get to experience the same unique learning experience that you would have in UP compared to other schools.

The professors were really cool and smart. They don't brag about how intelligent they are. Instead, they are always willing share what they know. It was easy to approach them. You can even schedule a meeting with them to help you understand the lesson or to clarify something. The atmosphere is UP Los Banos was very homelike. Since most of the students are living in apartments or dormitories inside and near the campus, it feels like your home and school are one. You can even wear shorts, T-shirts and slippers inside the campus.

My school is probably the best school in the Philippines to be trained in the art of surviving. Multicultural: The school has a wide cast of professors from different backgrounds. As such, enrolling in different classes will give you a wider perspective in life and learning. You'll see that you are not the only person in this world. There are lots of people around you, some with similar beliefs and perceptions, and some with different opinions and interpretations. Here, we have learned to socialize with just about anyone.

University with high standard of excellence. There is a very good learning atmosphere and you would observe that people studying here is a mix from different provinces in the PH. Also, research is really established here unlike in other universities.. There is a great potential for this university.
