The University of San Jose–Recoletos, formerly known as Colegio de San Jose–Recoletos, is a private research and Catholic university founded in 1947 in Cebu City, Philippines by the Order of Augustinian Recollects. From classes held in an old building and a portion of the convent, the school built modern structures while retaining classic features. The university has three campuses, two of which are located in different areas of Metro Cebu – the main campus along Corner P. Lopez and Magallanes Sts. and the Basak Campus at Cebu South Road, Basak Pardo, Cebu City. Its third campus, the newly built Balamban Campus, is located in Arpili, a barangay in the Municipality of Balamban.

University of san jose recoletos is One of the affordable university here in the Philippines. Very friendly and accomodating staff and professors and their teaching service is good. What i like in their system is the value of topics in the curiculum that you will learn can be applied on your job. However, when i wanted to get my grades, their service sucks. It took them several weeks to type and print my grades.

It will be 28 years this year since I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science! I truly had a great time in college! Kudos to my teachers and staff!

This university is a disciplinarian school, wherein when graduated you'll be one of those religious, respectful, loving, caring, honest, ambitious,and resilient alumna ever...'coz i'm of them..i was graduated last march, 1984...first batch of basak auditorium...graduation rites....

I love this school because it's my school, haha. By the way the school is very crowded and don't like places where I don't have a place to be alone and study. The great thing here is the professors are really smart and you will learn, sharpen and mold you to be a great Josenian. They won't let anyone graduate lacking with knowledge.

I would disagree of accomodating staff , in my experience , some of the staff are not accomodating , they are actually the meanest staff i ever encountered in my whole life , one of there scholar was actually so mean and has no sign of accomodating . So Hopefully this would be the lesson learn that do not deceived by the book on it's own cover . The reputation and the school actually one of the excellent schools in cebu , hopefully and please consider this as a lesson to always remind all the Staff of the school offices that they should be accomodating . After what happen to me in that day , I actually wonder if is this a recoleto way of the word accomodating ?
