I completed my HND in business management with lakes college, I went on to do the degree and have since started a childcare business. Lakes college gave me the confidence to believe I could achieve.

My tutor and lecturers have all been very supportive since day one. If I have ever required help, they have always been there. Infact the whole Business Department have been great help during my apprenticeship. If I have ever went to see my tutor and she was not there, others in the department have been keen to help me. My lecturers have always pushed me and made sure that my work produced was to a high standard as I am capable of doing this. I have received 2 Level 3 qualifications within one year. One in Business Administration and one in First Line Management, no other provider could have offered me this. Overall I think the college is excellent.

I have just finished the Business Academy course with Lakes College I thoroughly enjoyed the one year course gaining a lot of experience and life long friends. The staff were always really helpful and supportive when I needed it and showed they always wanted the best from their students. I was given the chance to go to Prague, attend project management master classes and strengthen my knowledge on First Line Management and Business Administration. On the Business Administration side of my course I had an assessor was called Jon, throughout the year Jon has been very very supportive, he's always so lovely and understanding and always there when I need help with my assignments. I have enjoyed my apprenticeship both in my work place and on the course and have also now been offered a full time position which i'm thrilled about as i'm very happy here. All in all my experience with Lakes College has been a very positive one and I have come away knowing a lot more than I did before I started the course last September.
