Welcome to North Warwickshire & Hinckley College North Warwickshire & Hinckley College is one of the largest and most successful colleges in the region. We offer brilliant teaching and learning, excellent work experience placements and opportunities for students to develop independently.

Our excellent facilities, strong partnerships with major employers and universities, and excellent international relationships have helped make us a sought-after place to study for thousands of young people and adults.

Students’ learning is enhanced through purpose-designed training areas and industry-specific equipment in areas including CAD Engineering, Hospitality & Catering, Construction and Electrical Installation.

Our Creative Arts campus in Hinckley has the best facilities in the region and offers students access to state-of-the-art Computing supported by industry-standard software and lecturing staff who are also skilled practitioners.

Both our Advanced Engineering Centre at the Nuneaton Campus and the Harrowbrook Construction Centre in Hinckley have been praised by regional businesses. Students can acquire traditional skills whist developing competencies in working with emerging technologies.

All of our students have access to a wide range of support services including advice on financial assistance.

In January 2013, North Warwickshire & Hinckley College earned a place in national history as a newly federated college. We officially joined forces with South Leicestershire College and have been overseen by one principal since my appointment as joint Principal and Chief Executive in February 2013. This is only the second time two Further Education colleges have joined forces in this way. Having worked together successfully in the past, it made good sense to take that relationship one step further and form a Federation, a move which will allow us to expand our courses by sharing expertise and resources and improve support for our students.

The government set out their definition of British Values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy. In 2014, the Department of Education published guidance on promoting British Values in schools to ensure young people leave school and college prepared for life in Modern Britain.

At North Warwickshire & Hinckley College, we are dedicated to promoting values which ensure that our students develop a strong sense of social and moral responsibility. We prepare our students for life in Modern Britain by developing an understanding of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

It is our aim that all North Warwickshire & Hinckley College students are able to contribute effectively to the wider community, using the skills and knowledge they have acquired during their time at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College. As well as being fully engaged in their learning experience, we want our students to become responsible and well-rounded individuals.

At North Warwickshire & Hinckley College students are actively encouraged to make independent choices with the knowledge that they are in a safe, secure and supportive environment. Staff at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College educate and provide boundaries for students to make informed choices, through a safe environment and an empowering education.

North Warwickshire & Hinckley College has a robust anti-bullying culture and has in place a comprehensive Behaviour Policy that promotes achievement for all students.

We are conscious of major changes taking place in our local economies and the vital role that education can play. We believe that we can help local people, businesses and organisations to grow through learning and the acquisition of new skills and competencies.

We are passionate about learning, teaching and assessment and we are totally committed to the success of our learners.

Really kind people and I like the fact it is quite small and not overcrowded. I'm thankful they offer my course of choice here as I couldn't find graphic design anywhere in my town. I don't know why there as so many bad complaints but from when I went there it seemed 100% better than my high school. I now currently go here and I made friends instantly and the course is pretty good. You get loads of freedom to do what you want within your project.

I study photography at the Hinckley campus and it's a relaxed atmosphere and it has helped me progress a lot from when I first started! Tutors are easily approachable and will help if you need it.

Awful college and shocking complaints procedure with no one dealing with your complaint properly or in the correct manner. English and Maths courses never ran alongside course properly. Courses are classed as full time but definitely a very part time one that my offspring was on and they would of benefitted just as much from it as doing a night course just once a week. Badly let down by course with no other course offered yet you are supposed to be in education or approved training until you reach 18 years old. Unhelpful tutor of course . The guidance centre for courses and careers was useless and provided no options they didn't even know what courses would be running in January and its December already. A SHEER WASTE OF TIME!!!

Just finished the 6 weeks Basic Vehicle Maintenance course run by Andy and Ben. Great support throughout the course by these two, also given me the confidence to work on my own car and friend/family's cars in the future. Fantastic course, shame it only ran for 6 weeks!
