Having recently graduated with a First Class degree from Solent (as a mature student) I would definitely recommended studying here. The staff, particularly in the Film Dept, consistently go above and beyond to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed and I can’t thank them enough for all their support, guidance and excellent teaching.

I really enjoyed my 3 years at Solent. So interesting and my knowledge expanded with the help of inspirational and passionate tutors, so much support. It was also a privilege to be a part of the first ever BA Fashion Buying degree at Solent :)

Throughout the 3 years I had a great experience, some lows and some highs. I am devastated to say it ended with regret, after graduating the uni has taken up to 3 months to deliver my graduation certificate and I still don't have it, I desperately need it as I am off to do a masters. It is a shame that the uni has let me down many times by their bad organisation and terrible communication skills. I hope the uni takes on these problems for further students sake. I would like to end this review on a happy note as I had an amazing tutor, Esther Frake, who was always there to help and never discourage any of her students unlike other tutors.

One of the best equipped library in this university I have ever been to. Very good collection of books. I was very impressed with the architecture and facilities available in this library.

I studied at Southampton Solent from 2010 - 2013. It was a fantastic experience, the lecturers were knowledgeable and highly professional, the facilities for the architectural department were modern, up to date and have the best architectural computer packages available.
I enjoyed my time there that I'm returning in Sept 2017 to undertake my MSc in Sustainable Building Design.

This university promised so much on the open day and delivered none of it when I began my first year. Despite advertising their facilities it's only when you start that you're told you won't be using any of them until your third year. Waste of time, money and energy. I've found more success in my life after quitting this university than they could ever have promised. Do yourself a favour, give this one a miss.

Solent really gets you inspired and thinking about what you REALLY want to do in life. The Music Journalism course is PERFECT for anyone who likes music and wants to be involved within that industry. It's so broad and you get taught PR, promoting, management, design and so much more than journalism. It's helped me in ways in which I never thought I could do or achieve. Great Lecturers who are really supportive and motivating towards whatever project you do.
Overall, great facilities, teaching and mindset.
