The School of Computer Science at the University of Auckland is currently looking for an early career academic to join our diverse and internationally renowned school as Lecturer /Senior Lecturer in Data Science. We are seeking top candidates from any subfield of Data Science who focus on any of the following areas: machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining or data management. Industrial experience and/or experience of collaborative research with industrial partners would be a significant advantage. The various Data Science programs we offer are run jointly with our Department of Statistics, which invented R. We expect the successful candidate to contribute to the continuously growing success of these programs. Such contributions include world-class research, high-calibre teaching of courses with many students as well as supervision of capstone projects and dissertations at the Master and PhD level.
