Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue

UQAT, as vast an institution as its areas of coverage, chiefly offers services in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Nord-du-Québec regions as well as in the MRC Antoine-Labelle. Serving all of the communities in those areas is an important part of its mission. Besides going beyond its borders, UQAT has solidly anchored itself to its home region through its three campus and six regional centres. This mark of nordicity gives UQAT its specific character. After pursuing their education at our university, people are more apt to work in small communities, in Aboriginal communities, in medium-density urban areas, in regions rich in natural resources and in regions occupying a vast territory.
