Middlesex University Dubai launched its new enterprise named “MDX Insights Lab: Applied Data Analytics Hub” for the data science community in the UAE. This lab was launched in strategic partnership with Beinex to bring corporate datasets for the analytics community to derive insights from data. The Insights Lab acts as a data translator to convert the business requirements from various firms in the UAE to data science questions that could be cracked by the crowdsourcing model (analytics community). It also provides expert analytics consulting, corporate training in data science, and knowledge sharing sessions. Dr. Cedwyn Fernandes (Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Director of Middlesex University Dubai) and Mr. Indumon Das (Founder of Beinex) signed the strategic partnership agreement for the Insights Lab and Beinex to work together for this initiative.

Middlesex Insights Lab has also signed a partnership with SAP Labs, SAS, R, Alteryx, and &Humans as knowledge partners of the lab. The lab has already received data-sets from various industry partners, and the data hackathons will soon be open for the members of Insights Lab. Data Science enthusiasts interested in working on corporate datasets can sign up as a free member of the Insights Lab. The lab is a part of the Centre for Innovation in Human Experience at Middlesex University and is founded by Dr. Krishnadas Nanath (Associate Professor in Data Science).
