Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health Visitor to join the Faculty of Social and Life Sciences at Wrexham Glyndwr University. The team are dynamic, passionate and committed to providing a high standard of education for all its students and we invite applications from qualified Health Visitors wishing to pass on their passion for the profession.
The post holder will
- Teach modules across the Nursing programmes and take module leadership with potential programme leadership of the Health Visiting (SCPHN) programme, deputising for the existing programme leader as required.
- Develop resource and teaching materials appropriate for programmes.
- Ensure the academic quality and standards of the University are maintained and that the student experience is continually enhanced.
- Set, mark and assess students’ work, ensuring that learning outcomes have been met and that feedback is both detailed and constructive.
- Develop, support and maintain successful partnerships with external agencies, professional establishments and professional bodies to promote the Faculty and wider University.
- Be responsible for ensuring programme accreditation and review is maintained
We are looking for someone who can enthuse and engage students, with a passion for the profession. Experience as an academic in Higher Education and a teaching qualification is desirable though not essential. You will hold a Master’s qualification, preferably will have completed or be working towards a certificated breast feeding course, and PhD is desirable.
