We offer a distinctive college experience, whether you are just starting college for the first time or are an adult student looking to complete a degree or enhance your career opportunities.

The Faulkner campus is a special place where faculty and students still wave at one another and say hello. Some students describe it as being like a big family. You won’t be just a number and you won’t get lost in the crowd at Faulkner University.

Most of our nation’s private universities started as Christian colleges, but many have drifted from their original mission. From our founding in 1942 as Montgomery Bible College, Faulkner has never strayed from its commitment to glorify God through education of the whole person. Daily chapel, Bible classes and late-night devotionals are still key ingredients of the Faulkner undergraduate experience. From our athletic fields to our classrooms, we offer an environment that helps our students grow spiritually and find their God-given purpose. We emphasize integrity of character and encourage all students to volunteer their time in community service.

A beautiful campus and winning sports teams are awesome, but the real core strength of any university is its faculty. At Faulkner, our faculty are not only Christians who care deeply for their students but they are also committed scholars who bring out the best in our students. You can earn a quality education at Faulkner that will prepare you for graduate or professional school or help you achieve success in the career field of your choice.

Getting involved as a Faulkner student is easy. We offer more than 30 student organizations, 20 intramural and 10 intercollegiate sports teams. You can pursue drama, music and other passions. Our campus housing, exercise facilities and popular dining venues make campus life complete.

The cost of attending Faulkner University is well below the average for other private universities. We offer generous financial aid opportunities that help keep the cost of getting a college degree more affordable. In fact, 96 percent of Faulkner’s students receive financial aid.

Whether you are a high school student seeking a traditional, on-campus undergraduate college experience or a busy mid-career business person looking to advance your career, Faulkner has a plan for you. Faulkner was among the pioneers in Alabama higher education to offer evening and weekend degree-completion programs for adults. Today, adult students attend not only our flagship campus in Montgomery but also take classes at extended campuses in Birmingham, Huntsville and Mobile. We even offer classes at some community colleges and other venues in Alabama. Still other students want to study on their own schedule, so Faulkner now offers its online degree program where you can study anytime and anywhere.

Faulkner Law’s graduating students consistently score well on the state bar exam. Faulkner Law is one of only three ABA-accredited law schools in the state, and many of our graduates have pursued distinguished careers in private legal practice and public service. True to the university’s mission, Faulkner Law is committed to preparing Christians to assume active roles in the institutions of justice.

The university is now home to five colleges: the Alabama Christian College of Arts and Sciences, the Harris College of Business and Executive Education, the V.P. Black College of Biblical Studies, the College of Education, and the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law. A growing number of degree programs are now offered online, in addition to on-ground programs at our campuses.

In the years since the college became Faulkner University, the campus’s physical plant has grown to include new buildings for classrooms and administration, new residence halls and apartments, a student multiplex, modern facilities for the football, soccer, baseball and softball programs, and a fine arts theater that houses the acclaimed Faulkner University Dinner Theatre. Plans are also underway for a major renovation of the Gus Nichols Library.

One thing that hasn’t changed since our founding days is our mission to be a distinctively Christian university, where God’s Word is taught and respected, and where students are encouraged to grow in intellect, character and service.Faulkner University is proud of its continuing role as a growing and dynamic part of the Montgomery community and the higher-education community throughout Alabama.
