Star College is proud to be part of the heritage of Horizon Educational Trust, establishing Academic Schools throughout South Africa since 1998.

Star College Pretoria is situated in Willow Glen, Pretoria East and is the 7th independent school in South Africa established by Horizon Educational Trust.

Star College Pretoria is an Independent, English Medium School, established by Horizon Educational Trust. We follow the Curriculum from the Department of Education and aim to be academically strong, producing excellent results in the National Matric exams as well as National and International Mathematics, Science and Computer Olympiads.We offer Grade RR to Grade 7 for boys and girls, and Grade 8 to Grade 12 for boys.

All subjects other than additional languages, are taught in English.We have smaller classes, engaging students in individual, personalised attention with their educators, contributing to higher academic and behavioral standards.

At Star College we focus on academics, with the main focus on Mathematics, Science and Computer Technology, giving our students the academic benefits to prepare them for a promising future. Students are taught about multi-culturalism, diversity and universal morals.

We endeavor to create a school culture built on success, respect and accountability, and to develop young people who are confident in becoming bold inquirers, analytical thinkers and ethical leaders in their society, empowered with excellent academic skills.

Star College Pretoria community is dedicated to providing our students with a well-rounded educational experience. While the core curriculum is provided for all students, we believe that it is critical to provide leadership opportunities, character education and exposure to the technologies in order to prepare students to compete with their global counterparts.

We care for and appreciate each of our students as the unique individuals that they are, each with distinct talents, interests and needs, and each with different qualities to serve the community.

Star College Pretoria wants each of our students to enjoy schooling with the values of respect, cooperation, persistence and striving for excellence underpinning all that they do. Our students develop responsibility for their own behavior and the choices they make, and also a communal responsibility to assist their peers to do the same. Our students become strong in self-esteem and personal expectation and develop a healthy and respectful tolerance for others.

Our early learning centre starts with Grade RR (4 turning 5) and Grade R ( 5 turning 6). Our teachers are passionate about making the learners feel at home in their classrooms. We have only one class for each of these grades.

In Grades 1 to 3, we focus on the core subjects and aim to lay down a solid foundation, in order to prepare the students for all future schooling. We have 2 classes in each Foundation Phase Grade, catering for up to 24 students in each class.

We have extra curricular activities we incorporate into our daily program to stimulate learners outside of the curriculum.In the Intermediate Phase we expose the learners to different opportunities and subjects, to prepare them for their journey into High School, and also introduce the learners to Science Fairs and various Olympiads.

At Star College, our High School offers subjects chosen specifically for University Preparation, ensuring that each boy can do subjects according to his particular strengths.

From Grade 8 onwards, students compete in Olympiads at an International level, as we send selected students abroad to compete at International Olympiads.

We also offer free Saturday tuition and numerous other extra classes to assist all our boys to achieve to the best of their ability.
