The Two-Years Diploma program in Human Resource Management (HRM) is designed to provide students with both the conceptual and technical skills needed by the potential employers of HRM diploma graduates. In this two-year HRM Diploma program, students will study several concentration courses in Human Resource Management, as well as business, economics, statistics and a variety of other skills necessary to the market needs. In addition to catering for the needs of entry level jobs in the market, the ECT HRM Diploma Courses may also be articulated with a Bachelor Program in Human Resource Management being offered in four-year colleges in the country and abroad.

Learning Outcomes

All graduates of ECT two-year human resource management diploma program will have the ability to

  • Explain the fundamental concepts, models and tools of human resource management functions.
  • Evaluate practices concerning recruitment and selection, performance management, training and development, labor relations, motivation, and compensation.
  • Identify and discuss legal principles and ethical implications of human resource management that apply to a wide range of workplace issues.
  • Demonstrate skills in negotiation and resolving disputes.
  • Use basic information technologies and study skills to contribute effectively to the organizational performance.
  • Apply the basic knowledge and concepts of HRM in a professional context.
  • Use interpersonal skills to work in teams.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Assessment Process

Over the duration of your course a range of assessment techniques will be used. Types of assessment include; essays, assignments, exams, multiple choice tests, online tests, group reports, and portfolio work. The weighting between exams and coursework varies between semesters and years, but exams play a major role in the final outcome.

Entry Requirements

All applicants for ECT's programs must achieve a recognized and official secondary school certificate, or its equivalent, showing successful completion of secondary education.
