I went here for graduate school in Applied Behavior Analysis, psychology program. I loved and enjoyed my attendance here. Great experience and staff.

I had a great experience at cal state la. It's a great school if you are looking to commute, graduate fast, and aren't looking for a party scene. I had excellent teachers, worked hard, and graduated very quickly. It's especially good for those who are older and going back to school. (I would not have enjoyed this school when I was 18-25) It was perfect now that I am 30 and graduating later in life.

I came here for grad school not knowing what to expect, just after having graduated from UCSC earlier in the same year. I was shocked and impressed to f ind that some of these classes were more difficult than some of the UC classes that I had taken. Some of the professors really enjoy the classes that they teach. Some of them really seem to love their jobs and the students that they help along the way. I have had some of the most amazing professors at CSULA. I must say, if it weren't so hard to get so many of these classes, I'd take more and go back for another credential or certificate. It's always a thought.

In terms of culture/environment, you should think of it as a community college. Most people commute, so there's not a lot of on-campus stuff happening. I went here for my MA in English and loved the faculty. Very intelligent and supportive, and I thought the admins in English were great, too. Yes, Financial Aid sucked, but it does at any public school. CSULA has a lot to offer if you're willing to put the time and energy into it. It's a GREAT option for people who work full-time and don't want to spend an arm and a leg getting a degree. Go Eagles!

SULA is the best, great school! Additionally, they have great jazz/live music programs occasionally as well.
