Eary Years Certificate in Messy Play
When a child immerses his or her hands in a bowl full of goop, important sensory messages are being passed from the proprioceptors in the hands to neurons in the brain. During messy play, synapsis are formed and connections are made. This session looks at the science behind messy play and the importance of every early year’s classroom giving children a license to get messy! Participants will have the opportunity to explore a range of exciting and creative messy play experiences and how these can be woven into existing projects of inquiry and themes. They will explore the adult’s role in messy play and how to get young children involved in cleaning up at the end of sessions.
