Raymond Phillips

Working with young people has been a constant through all my positions whether directly or indirectly when working with parents, carers or family members. I am educated to degree level and have a raft of qualifications and certificated courses in social care, mentoring and support of families and young people.

In my work with young people I have become dedicated to helping them achieve as fully as possible in their personal lives and educationally or professionally using my skills as a mentor, my empathic nature and an encouraging, positive approach. I am dedicated to helping young people operate out of their comfort zones and I get great satisfaction from watching them develop confidence and achieve things they never expected.

I am confident and experienced in presenting to large and small groups and liaising with teachers, partner agencies, families, and carers. Communicating clearly in writing or verbally has been essential in all of my roles and I have been required to compile reports and updates in an official capacity for my superiors, clients, and colleagues.

I have the temperament to relate to and motivate all the personality types I have encountered.

Nurturing, mentoring, and motivating young people is a great passion of mine and I strive to give the absolute best I can at all times in often challenging situations. I am experienced in helping young people who have additional emotional or educational needs and who may not be comfortable around professionals or adults.
