ASU doesn't even deserve 1 star. This place is terrible. DO NOT go to this school. The financial aid employees are so rude. The representative I spoke with was screaming at me. Turns out, she was wrong. It has been something every semester with financial aid. The list just goes on.

THIS SCHOOL DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR STUDENTS!!! Compared to other colleges ASU is so UNORGANIZED. Work orders take months to get fixed. The food is Always horrible. Pizza Hut and Subway always run out of food. They never have anything and they are always so slow. it takes 30 mins to get a personal pan pizza. Housing is a mess; some students are homeless because its bed bugs in there room. South hall has mold in there building and only 3 out of 7 washers work. Its a hassle to wash with 200 people in one building and it just seems like nobody cares about us. Last semester it took 4 months to receive my student refund check while it took other colleges 1 month. They kicked students out of school the first month for having a balance on there account but it took them 4 months to pay students their money. (We even made it to the news for having slow financial aid. ) I wont be returning, this school is slow when it comes to fixing problems but when it comes to them getting paid they have no issues kicking students out.

HORRIBLE! I have been having the worst time ever at this institution. The staff is unprofessional and careless. My biggest mistake was making this school my first choice. I will be HAPPILY transferring in Fall 2018 and hopefully getting a fulfilling and REAL college experience. Be careful and do your research!

STAY FARRRRRR AWAYYYY! To start, majority of staff is extremely unprofessional. I'm not referring to the professors, I'm talking about financial aid staff and all the other faculty. This is a money hungry school that loves to play with financial aid money and create more of a stress on the students. Faculty acts as if they hate their job and tries to insult the intelligence of students who they think do not know anything. Eviction notices were handed out in the middle of the semester due to the financial aid staff not doing their part in the financial aid process wreaking havoc on the student body. After getting in touch with the superior to housing coordinator, my roommate and I were treated with disrespect by her and the Resident Assistants for the continuation of the semester. Darton had a good thing going and should have never consolidated with Albany State!

If I could give this school a zero I would. You have to take a day off work just to get someone on the phone. That's after holding for over an hour only to be trandferred to a voicrmail, the person transferring you doesn't even tell you your being transferred. Leave a message or even email, and it will be ignored.
You have no idea where to find information how to work the banner. We are set up to get emails regarding financial aid..it never sends any notifications. Financial aid info has been scanned since May wasn't even touched until July 18th..found something was wrong with fin aid at the most unorganized orientation ever..not to mention you are charged $185 for the unorganization. While in the organization, a staff member comes into the fin aid room and tells everyone in the room they have to "Get out" her exact words, because the next grouo was coming...one fin aid person with about 20+ ppl with questions...I've left messages and emails since July 28th..today is Aug 8th..and not one person has contacted me..we have a incorrected schedule..questions regarding a transcript cant het into the student email, given a password that doesnt work.
As I type I have been holding for IT for 52mins...what a joke. I've dealt with other schools and NEVER has this been the outcome.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. This school is a joke I a m trying to apply to a Ph. D program and I have been waiting for 2 semesters for a professor to submit his final grades!! 2 semesters!! Why am I waiting for 2 semesters for a professor to submit final grades? Is there not a deadline?? There are a lot of good quality professors at this school whom make sure you get the best and everything out of their classes but if you are studying criminal justice please beware!!!

Was advised to be at the school at 9am took a 4 hour drive to bring my brother to school & the administration didn't have him registered yet , we waited "hours" for an acceptance letter to come to his email so that he could register for his dorm which we were supposed to receive by 2pm ,which never came(the approval for his acceptance letter to be submitted took so long because the person reviewing his paper work from high school to confirm his credits, which he had to have faxed 4 times wasn't looking at the correct information since MAY !!) so the day before he was supposed to arrive she FINALLY got everything done & when we arrived his acceptance still hadn't been approved , so now the staff is saying wait until 9PM ?,for an acceptance letter ,the administration is extremely unprofessional & inconsiderate ,they inconvienced our family . My first impression of this "university" is horrible !!
