Centenary Secondary School’s mission statement is educational excellence based on the total development of the learners in its care. To this end the motto ”Felicitas Ex Industria”(Success through Striving) will serve as a basis to which all role players will be committed.

The school acknowledges that cell phones have become an important and useful means of communication. However, it is also aware of the fact that the use and abuse of cellphones, particularly by children, pose social, ethical and safety consequences e.g. learners have been held up at knife-point for their cellphones just outside the school premises, Cellphones are, therefore, not permitted at school. Cellphones, once confiscated, will be returned as follows: First tüne offenders: Cell phones will be returned when a fine of R250 is paid 5 school days of confiscation. Repeat offenders: Cell phones will be returned when a fine ofR500 is paid within 5 school days of confiscation.
