At Hanover, students can design their own major, start their own club or organization, and spend May Term immersed in a single course – often abroad. Hanover students leave here with a professional resume, already full of authentic work from their undergraduate internship, combined with practical meets technical experience in their chosen field.

Hanover is situated just west of historic Madison, Ind. Once a major river port for the state, Madison (population 12,000) has maintained its sense of 19th century heritage with 133 city blocks on the National Register of Historic Places, designating it as the state's largest historic district. At Hanover, we don’t think you should learn about your career that way either.We offer real experiences to learn while doing. Our Business Scholars Program allows you to earn some career experience, while you earn a paycheck at a regional organization or company. It combines practical knowledge with practical application — in real time.The Health and Biomedical Sciences Program lets you perform real medical technique on real cadavers, before graduate school, and Hanover is the only school in Indiana where you can do that.

When you’re excited by something, you want to do it exclusively, right? With our May Term, you can. Immerse yourself in that specialized topic by focusing intensely on one experiential class each year. You can do this in whatever location makes the most sense to give you the most authentic experience. Even halfway around the world.Families sometimes worry when they hear the term private college.
