Since 1894, we’ve been helping students become flexible, confident thinkers in an increasingly fast-paced world.
Choosing a college doesn’t have to be stressful or scary. In fact, it can be fun—especially when you find the place where you belong.
Our admissions department is full of friendly, helpful college counselors who have your best interests in mind, and it’s their job to make sure you find your path and follow it to a successful career and a fulfilling life.
We’ll also make sure you get the financial aid you need. Currently, 100% of our first-time, full-time students receive financial assistance. Every single student, through scholarships, grants, and need-based aid. Plus, this is a place where you’ll get your money's worth. Not only will you find opportunities here you can't get at a state school, but you'll develop the valuable knowledge and skills you need for lifelong success.
At Morningside, you’ll discover what you’re truly passionate about—and discover the means to follow that passion throughout your personal and professional life. We know that the major you select is important and we offer more than 60 areas of study, with talented professional faculty who will work with you to achieve your goals.
Our flexible curriculum will allow you to sample different majors while making progress to graduate in four years or less, all while enhancing your communication and problem solving skills. Our First Year Studies program, May Term courses and Study Abroad opportunities provide you with the opportunities you need to be successful.
Classes at Morningside College are small. You will get to know your professors and fellow students within and beyond your major, and they will push you to reach your potential. Our students work collaboratively with faculty on research projects and have opportunities to present their work on campus and at regional and national professional meetings. There are honor societies and student clubs associated with each of our majors that will allow students to develop a network of peers and offer social activities centered on topics in your major. Our location in Sioux City, Iowa provides multiple opportunities for internships or other practical experiences, which often lead to offers of employment upon graduation.
Unlike larger schools, you’re more than “just a face” at Morningside. Our campus is big enough to offer lots of opportunities, but small enough that you can actually make a difference.
Campus is friendly and full of positive energy, which makes it easy to find friends and fit in. This environment is the perfect place to learn and grow, and to forge the friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
Career Services can assist you in developing plans that lead toward your professional goals. Whether you need help formatting a resume, identifying a major or finding an appropriate internship, Career Services is dedicated to your career development.
Morningside College students participate in various foreign study abroad programs. Most programs provide opportunities for extensive travel in addition to regular classroom studies. Although these programs usually provide excellent experience for language students, work is available in English-speaking countries as well. Financial aid is available to help with the costs of our study abroad options.
Since 1894, Morningside has had a tradition of cultivating thinkers, makers, doers, and leaders who want to make the world a better place. These students have built a culture of excellence on our campus. Students thrive in the Morningside community because it is small enough for them to get support and encouragement from professors and peers who know them by name, but large enough to give them incredible opportunities that wouldn't be found just anywhere.
