Basel International Search GmbH is a Swiss owner-managed recruitment company, specialized in contingency search within the international Biotech & Pharmaceutical sector. We focus on recruitment of highly educated (MD, PhD, PharmD, MBA) employees for positions at mid-senior and senior levels and for senior specialist assignments. Our service is primarily adapted for difficult-to-fill vacancies in Biotech & Pharmaceutical businesses in Europe and overseas.

Basel is home to 2 large Pharmaceutical companies, 10 small ones and to 27 Biotechs. They currently test 248 new molecules and indications in all clinical phases¹, without even counting R&D. With strong connections to the US, it could be a smart career choice.

The company provides contingency recruitment services to Biotech and Pharmaceutical businesses internationally. We search for Biotech & Pharma professionals with medical, scientific and commercial qualifications – especially MDs (physicians) but also PhDs; both ideally combined with MBA degrees. The service type is “contingency” or “contingency-exclusive”, indicating simply that we work at the so-called “no win no fee” basis. Therefore, clients pay for the service only in case they hire our candidate.

Senior Recruitment
We recruit executives and senior management for non-board functions. Heads of Global Medical Departments, Leaders of international Medical and Scientific Teams, Chief Medical Officers of fast-growing Biotech and smaller sized Pharmaceutical companies, Global Medical Affairs Directors.

Mid-Senior Recruitment
We recruit Medical Managers, junior level Medical Directors, medical and scientific employees of various teams, employees with or without direct reporting lines. We also have experience in hiring Medical Advisors and MSLs when client is hiring an entire European team.

Senior Specialist Recruitment
We recruit medically qualified (MD or MD MBA) personnel for senior specialist assignments. Service tailored for clients in need of hiring experienced medics – specialists in trial protocol development or implementation, input into IND and MAA applications, due diligences, advisory board organization, drug asset positioning, etc.
