Since 1906, Pace has educated thinking professionals by providing high quality education for the professions on a firm base of liberal learning amid the advantages of the New York metropolitan area. A private university, Pace has campuses in Lower Manhattan and Westchester County, NY, enrolling nearly 13,000 students in bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in its College of Health Professions, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, Elisabeth Haub School of Law, Lubin School of Business, School of Education, and Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems. A 2017 study by the Equality of Opportunity Project ranks Pace University first in the nation among four-year private institutions for upward economic mobility based on students who enter college at the bottom fifth of the income distribution and end up in the top fifth.

Pace Institute began its transformation after World War II into a modern university with emphasis on the liberal arts and sciences. With dynamic leadership and fiscally sound management, Pace grew from rented facilities and few resources into one of the largest universities in New York State, with a multimillion dollar physical plant, an endowment of more than $100 million and a reputation for excellent teaching and talented, ambitious graduates.

To help make college more affordable, Pace offers a generous financial aid program to its Undergraduate and Graduate students. Financial assistance can come from many places and in many forms, including scholarships and grants, federal work study, and student loans.

For over 100 years, research has been a cornerstone of the Pace University educational experience and the growth of the institution over time. Pace houses a world-renowned and accomplished faculty who bring their wealth of knowledge and expertise to our students. The Undergraduate Student-Faculty Research Program is intended to showcase not only the great research by our faculty, but also by our diverse undergraduate student body. The projects selected this year are from a wide range of academic fields and will be showcased at the end of the academic year. Indeed, we look forward to the results of this year’s research as they help us better understand the world around us.
