MSU Online offers 10 undergraduate degrees, seven graduate degrees, three undergraduate certificates, and one graduate certificate entirely online. You can choose from over 125 online courses each semester that can be completed anywhere, anytime.

MSU makes it convenient to earn your Bachelor’s degree without having to leave Bismarck with six degree completion programs offered in cooperation with BSC.Minot State's social work department and North Dakota State University's human development and family science department are collaborating to offer this collaborative degree program. Students can earn an HDFS degree from NDSU, Family Science option, and a BSW in Social Work from Minot State University at the same time.All courses are taught on the NDSU campus, and the total degree credits required are only 133.

In addition to full degrees, MSU offers general education courses on the Minot Air Force Base to help members of the U.S.Air Force earn their Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) degree. Classes at the base are open to the general public as well as military students and their dependents/spouses.

Dual credit allows high school students to get a head start on their college education. These classes allow students to earn college credit in a cost effective manner while often fulfilling high school graduation requirements. Students in grades 10-12 with a 3.0 or higher high school GPA and approval from their high school administrator are eligible to enroll in dual credit courses.

A collaborative student is a student who is earning their degree from Minot State, but also taking courses at another NDUS institution within the same term. MSU, which is where you are receiving your degree from, is your home institution.The institution where you are taking a course, but not receiving your degree from, is your provider institution.

IVN is statewide videoconferencing communication tool providing distance education opportunities throughout the state.MSU both sends and receives courses, workshops, and meetings. Students from this area can enroll in a wide range of degree programs offered by a number of North Dakota University System institutions. Programs range from two-year degrees in medical assistant and marketing to master's degrees in education and counselor education.

The Academic Testing Center (ATC) at MSU strives to provide reliable test administration and high quality customer service in a secure environment for MSU and the community. The ATC offers a variety of tests including placement and professional certification exams. The ATC also provides both computerized and paper/pencil proctoring services.

Cultural diversity significantly enriches an educational experience for all students, and MSU's strategic priorities includes fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages global understanding through education abroad, cultural programming, and support of international students and scholars.

MSU’s accreditation is both regional and programmatic. Minot State University has earned regional institutional accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Additionally, 36 majors have earned discipline specific accreditation. Accreditation assures the student and the public that the university and its academic programs are of high quality. Regionally accredited institutions have access to federal and state funding to support student financial aid programs. Accreditation is also important for students when transferring among universities. Initial accreditation was granted to Minot State University on Jan. 1, 1917, and reaccreditation takes place on a recurring schedule.

Minot State University is an awesome campus with some really great students. They are currently building a new fitness facility that will be completed soon and it will look awesome! The class sizes are great and the professors really care about the students! Any student who would like to get involved on campus can and there are many opportunities to meet others and have a great time. I would recommend coming to MSU for a campus tour!!
