We pride ourselves on our diverse faculty, many of whom are also professional practitioners, business owners, and meditation practitioners. This gives them a vast amount of knowledge to share with students. Small class sizes allow for a personalized learning environment where faculty and students have the chance to connect on a personal level.

Along with our Master’s Degree and certificate programs, we also have a fully staffed faculty and student acupuncture clinic that sees patients throughout the week, a well-established library and a variety of events including guest speakers, tai chi and yoga classes and CE events for therapists and acupuncturists. All of this truly makes the Won Institute a one of a kind learning environment and a great place to go to school.

The mission of the Won Institute of Graduate Studies is to provide quality graduate-level professional education and training in the practical applications of spirituality and the healing arts for the well-being of individuals and society. It is guided by the conviction that meditation is essential to spiritual cultivation, and that spiritual cultivation is necessary to balance material and technological advances.

The Won Institute of Graduate Studies is an accredited graduate school offering professional Master's Degree programs in Acupuncture Studies, Applied Meditation Studies, and Won Buddhist Studies. We also offer several certificate programs and have three on-site acupuncture clinics that operate six days per week. At the Won Institute, we believe that personal development is an important part of the learning process. To foster this development, all of our programs include non-denominational sitting and moving meditation. This intensive focus on meditation helps create compassionate, competent meditation teachers and gives acupuncturists a profound tool for treating patients. The Won Institute offers a variety of professional degree and certificate programs aimed at preparing graduates for employment in a variety of helping professions, such as: acupuncture, herbal medicine, and Won Buddhist ministry. The Won Institute offers financial aid in the form of internal scholarships and Federal Financial Aid. Institute scholarship programs include the Song Eun Scholarship, Song Dok Scholarship, Gukjeong Scholarship and Institutional Aid Scholarship.
