Our mission is to provide a high-quality early childhood learning program that meets the developmental needs of preschool and lower primary students while inspiring them to love and appreciate the world of nature.
Our unique nature-based curriculum combines traditional preschool and lower primary readiness learning with age-appropriate educational activities that are designed to teach children about the natural world, exercise and physical fitness, health and wellness, nutrition, and the importance of getting outdoor.
Building community is also vital to our mission. Parents, friends and specialists collaborate to expand and grow the school. They also model the lifelong learning in order to develop in our students cooperation and purposeful work.
At Learning Tree, our vision is to empower students to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them, as life-long learners, to integrate and contribute to the global world through practicing the core values of the school: respect, tolerance, inclusion and excellence.
Our vision is also based on encouraging students to learn through fun by connecting with nature, investigating, experimenting, contemplating and solving problems.
Our teachers use natural areas in and around the schoolyard as part of the learning space while applying the most current and powerful teaching tools to fully engage and develop our students. Our teachers incorporate academic, artistic and practical nature elements into every subject, creating memorable lessons. Our teachers provide a balance of activities that challenge their students’ emerging skills and capacities through seeking the individuality of each student.
