CQUniCares Stage And Audio Scholarship

The CQUniCares Stage and Audio Scholarship will provide recognition and assistance to a deserving Business, Digital Media or Professional Communication student. The Scholarship will assist the student with expenses associated with studying at university. Those expenses can include non-deferrable costs such as textbooks, uniforms, computer equipment and internet access, specialised equipment, childcare, income supplement, travel and accommodation costs associated with compulsory residential schools and unpaid work placements.

1 (one) year

Selection Criteria
Applicants will be assessed based on the application form and a written submission of no more than 500 words addressing the following:

• Career goals and how the scholarship will assist you in achieving your educational objectives
• Extracurricular activities - especially community and volunteering activities and demonstration of leadership
• Life experiences

Additional Information
In addition to the ongoing eligibility requirements, the successful applicant must:

• Maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0 each term;
• Remain enrolled in the course as at Census date of each term;
• Complete 2 x additional pathways (recipient’s choice of remaining topics) of Blackbullion financial literacy platform prior to Term 2 Census Date.

Students may request a deferral of their scholarship in special circumstances. This request must be made through the Scholarships and Financial Assistance Team and should occur in conjunction with an official Leave of Absence request to the University. If approved, a scholarship may only be deferred for a maximum period of two terms (excludes Term 3). Students must still maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0 in the term directly before taking a Leave of Absence.

In special circumstances, a student may also make a request to transfer their scholarship to an alternative course of study. This require must be through the Scholarships and Financial Assistance Team and is at the discretion of the scholarship donor.

As a donor- funded scholarship recipient, you may be approached to assist with positively promoting the CQUniversity Scholarships program by sharing your experiences as a recipient through media and at events such as Open Day.

Failure to supply requested documents will result in your application being incomplete. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

A selection panel, consisting of representatives from Stage and Audio will be formed to determine the successful applicants. A scholarship will only be offered where there is an applicant of sufficient merit. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible after the selection panel meets.
