We support our graduates with discounts on tuition fees for further study

Our focus is to support our students with career success and lifelong learning, whether they are progressing into postgraduate study with us, or re-joining us many years after graduating. In a competitive and crowded marketplace, a postgraduate qualification will help students stand out from the crowd, demonstrate advanced further learning and enhance prospects.

We’re thrilled to offer the LSBU Loyalty Award to eligible students, providing a discount on postgraduate tuition fees when they enrol on one of our postgraduate courses.

Our loyalty award for 2020/21 entry:

20% discount on the tuition fee for all LSBU undergraduate students who enrol on a postgraduate taught course (PGT) at LSBU, regardless of year of graduation.
20% discount on the tuition fee - for all LSBU students completing a taught postgraduate degree and progressing onto an MRes, MPhil or PhD, regardless of year of graduation. This discount is only applicable for the first enrolment in the initial academic session and not for subsequent re-enrolments.
20% discount on the tuition fee – for all students who have been part of the inbound LSBU Erasmus and Study Abroad programmes since 2015 and who have been awarded their bachelor’s degree by their home institution since summer 2016. Students are eligible for a 20% discount on a postgraduate taught course at LSBU.
5% early settlement discount – in addition to the above discounts an extra 5% discount is applied to the balance of your tuition fees if they are paid in full at your online enrolment.

Please note: the discount does not cover any registration fees or residential costs or any other costs or fees that may apply beyond the tuition fee. Please check to see whether additional costs apply to your chosen course.

If, as the result of withdrawal or interruption from studies, fees are reduced, the Loyalty Award will be immediately withdrawn, however you will remain eligible for discounts if your interruption was the result of pregnancy, maternity or paternity.

Eligibility

Students must meet the following criteria in order to qualify for the discount. These are subject to the exceptions listed below:

You may be asked to supply a copy of your degree certificate/transcript as part of your application.

All LSBU students who completed their undergraduate course with LSBU (regardless of year of graduation) and apply for a postgraduate taught course at LSBU for the 20/21 academic year.
All LSBU students who completed their taught postgraduate course with LSBU (regardless of year of graduation) and progress or later apply onto an MRes, MPhil or PhD in the 20/21 academic year will qualify for the 20% discount on their fees. This discount is only applicable for the first enrolment in the initial academic session and not for subsequent re-enrolments.
Students who have been part of the inbound LSBU Erasmus and Study Abroad programmes since 2015, and who have been awarded their bachelor's degree by their home institution since summer 2016, are eligible for20% discount on postgraduate fees. Please note that this discount is subject to Visa Approval.

Please note that eligibility for the LSBU Loyalty Award does not mean automatic admission onto a postgraduate course. All graduates who successfully qualify under the Loyalty Award will still be subject to the Enrolment Terms and Conditions and any other policies or procedures that apply to all LSBU students.

Eligibility exceptions

Students already receiving an LSBU postgraduate scholarship or any other funding are not eligible to apply for this scholarship as well.
This LSBU Loyalty Award applies for students starting courses in the 20/21 academic year.

Home and EU students

In the circumstances below you would not be eligible for a fee discount:

Postgraduate courses where fees are paid via a contract negotiated with LSBU, such as a health authority
Postgraduate courses lasting fewer than 12 months
Continuing students already enrolled on a postgraduate course at LSBU
Students who have already been granted an alumni/loyalty discount for previous study
Courses where the award is Level 6 or below
Non-publicly funded courses

Overseas students

In the circumstances below you would not be eligible for a fee discount:

Students who have already been granted an alumni/loyalty discount for previous study
Students in receipt of any other International scholarships

Non-EU students who need a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK will need to submit a formal application. For more information, current students can log on to the MyLSBU student portal.
