Wycherley International School - Gampaha in Association with Regent International College has now branched out to providing an Internationally recognized Cambridge Curriculum for students in the Gampaha District.

Wycherley International School has been in the field of Primary and Secondary education for more than three decades in Colombo. It is committed to building an Internationally Accredited Centre in the Gampaha District providing the World recognized Cambridge Education system. Wycherley International School will be the First and Only Comprehensive Centre in the Gampaha District providing the Cambridge Curriculum from UKG (Year 1) – A/levels.

Wycherley is the first International School in Sri Lanka to offer a total Cambridge experience from Primary to Secondary level and to be classified as a "Cambridge Centre". It now offers Cambridge Programmes from Year 1 to Year 13. This gives a great impetus to enhance the teaching and learning process at the school, as both teachers and students have continuity by following the Cambridge Programme throughout their studies. At Wycherley the Cambridge curriculum consists of 5 main subjects; namely English, Maths, Science, ICT (Information Communication Technology) & Global Perspectives.

The Cambridge International Primary Programme, gives schools a framework to develop Mathematics, English and Science skills and knowledge in young children. The Primary Programme provides guidance for curriculum development and classroom teaching and learning and allows teachers to assess children’s learning, as they progress.

As a foundation for Secondary Education, the Primary Programme aids the identification of a student’s strengths and weaknesses and can be used to support learning and development. The Primary Programme ensures that students progress seamlessly into middle-year curricula, such as Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme, O/Level.

As an International Programme, it provides teachers with an external benchmark to aid their teaching and easily measure student’s progress over time. It also allows detailed, structured reporting to parents.

Appropriate and relevant internationally, the Primary Programme has been designed to be culturally sensitive.
