LIAS is located 15 KM from the Colombo city, in a peaceful and quiet Southern suburb, at Ratmalana. LIAS established in 2004, offers high quality education from pre grade to Y/13 (A/L). LIAS is a co-educational International school with an excellent tradition and reputation for student success. We expect our students to develop self-discipline and social responsibility within a maturing environment. We offer our students a comprehensive education from nursery, aged 2 1/2 years to Advanced level class providing British Curriculum (Ed-excel syllabus) and National curriculum in English Medium. Academic emphasis on the core content areas of Language, Math, Science, Environmental Studies, History, Geography, Religion, Reading and Aesthetic in primary classes and follow Science and Commerce streams in upper School classes. Students completing nursery, join the primary school in their selected curriculum after the graduation ceremony.

Apart from academic area, students are given enough opportunities and avenues to build up their character by involving themselves in various sports activities such as Basketball, Swimming, Badminton, Chess, Karate and Athletics.

Lakeland sets high learning expectations and provides students with more opportunities to demonstrate their proficiency with the concepts and skills that are targeted for each respective grade level. For that the school is equipped with a science laboratory, library, computer lab, language room, conference room, theatre room, dancing room, music room, and in addition an infirmary, a cafeteria and a day care center. These provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where our students are ready to achieve the best possible educational outcomes while enjoying the school life.
