Professional Diploma in English Language Teaching (ELT)

The professional diploma in English language teaching is a 210-hour program in teacher training that provides practical knowledge and skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teaching and learning principles and designing EFL material and assessment tools. Learners get to practice in a real class and receive direct feedback from their trainers. Graduates of the SCE-FELT will be able to join the diploma three courses directly. Fresh trainees will need to join the FELT then enroll in the diploma courses.

* One continuing education unit equals 10 contact hours.

Admission Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Pass the Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT) and score course ENGGB2A.
• Applicants must complete the Certificate of Achievement in the Fundamentals of English Language Teaching.
• Passing ENGGB1D does not in itself qualify learners to apply for FELT.
• Good knowledge of PC applications (Microsoft Office – Word and PowerPoint) and ability to use the Internet.

Admission Fee:

EGP 75: This to be paid onetime admission non-refundable fee

Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT) Fees:

EGP 245: This to be paid 6 working days before the beginning of the term.

One-day service Test (SEPT) Fees:

EGP 370: This to be paid 5 working days before the first day of the term.

OR

Online English Placement Test (OEPT) Fees:

EGP 245: This to be paid 4 working days before the beginning of the term.

Exam fees are non-refundable and changes in admission test dates are only allowed 2 working days in advance of the reserved test session.

(Course III)

Fees/course: EGP 3,580/3 CEUs
