English for Translators

English for translators is a CEFR-aligned language course aiming at qualifying learners to join the professional translation diplomas. The course focuses on learner-centered methodology and task-based learning. Reading and writing tasks are integrated to maximize learners’ ability to translate.

*One continuing education unit equals 10 contact hours

Admission Requirements:

• Applicants must pass the Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT) and score course ENGG B1C or passing ENGG B1B.
• Applicants must have basic computer literacy.

Admission Fee:

EGP 75: This to be paid onetime admission non-refundable fee

Standardized English Proficiency Test (SEPT) Fees:

EGP 245: This to be paid 6 working days before the term.

Arabic Proficiency Test (APT) Fees:

EGP 200: This to be paid 6 working days before the term.

One-day service Test (SEPT) and (APT) Fees:

EGP 370: This to be paid 5 working days before the first day of the term.

OR

Online English Placement Test (OEPT) Fees:

EGP 245: This to be paid 4 working days before the term.

Exam fees are non-refundable, and changes in admission test dates are only allowed 2 working days in advance of the reserved test session.

Online Arabic Admission Test (OAAT) Fees:

EGP 100: This to be paid 4 working days before the beginning of the term.

Fees/course for Egyptians: EGP 2,720/ 6 CEUs
