Montgomery International School is a fully accredited IB school that caters to students from elementary through secondary years (ages 5-19). We implement the IB curriculum through academic rigour and student personal development.
Our goal is to help our students achieve their full potential in a supportive, inclusive and open minded environment. We coach them to become independent critical thinkers and encourage them to develop their social and communication skills.
One school, two programmes
We offer a programme entirely in English with French as a second language and a bilingual programme with French and English immersion courses. Students can select the bilingual programme even if they are not perfectly fluent in French, thus developing valuable academic competency in both French and English.
Our campus
We are located in the heart of Brussels nearby the European institutions and NATO, and with convenient access to all public transportation. We take full advantage of our location to visit international institutions, museums, galleries, theatres etc.
Driven by a commitment to a more modern and student-centric approach, the school offered an alternative education system for children who didn't fit the conventional mold but aimed to attain the Belgian high school diploma. In 2013, David Gerone's wife, Francesca Vona, joined him to manage the administrative side of the school. Recognising the benefits of a bilingual education, they decided to adopt the International Baccalaureate programme in 2015. This shift was a natural fit, aligning with their core belief in the potential of every child and offering them every opportunity to achieve their academic and professional goals.
In the span of eight years, Montgomery International School was accredited by the three IB programmes (PYP, MYP and DP). The school flourished, consistently achieving a 100% success rate in the IB Diploma. In 2022, it obtained the best IBDP score in Brussels, surpassing the global average by 5 points. David Gerone held himself personally accountable for every child's success, leading to close monitoring and comprehensive support for each student. This commitment to individualised attention and adaptable teaching approaches plays a crucial role in the school's success.

Amazing school, amazing teachers. They took the time to communicate with me on every level regarding all 3 of my childrens' education. All 3 of my kids completed K-6 at Montgomery International School. The principals are amazing and I wish we could do those years all over again.
