Sage College, The British International School of Jerez

Sage College is a private British-International school, in the city of Jerez, in Spain. We are a nonreligious school who are composed of children and staff from over 50 nationalities and our admission
policy welcomes families from all over the world. Sage College is a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS).

Sage College has always been a student - centred school where we have focused on not only trying to obtain the best academic results, but also encouraging our students to have an International mind-set based on respect and behaviour. Every member of the staff and student is a part of the way forward to academic excellence and leadership: including our Teaching staff, Administration staff, Management, Maintenance, Cleaners, etc. We believe that we have the opportunity to inspire and motivate our students, so that they obtain skills and can work towards a better future world with proficiency in English and a holistic outlook.

Sage College is the only british international school in the province of Cadiz. We follow the Cambridge International Curriculum which is based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales throughout, which means that students gain an education as if they were in a school in the UK. This is not solely about becoming bilingual in English and Spanish. A British education allows pupils to ask questions, to be creative and dynamic and to learn from first-hand experience. The curriculum is designed to meet the individual needs of every student, providing exposure to a broad and balanced range of stimulating and motivating learning experiences. A variety of teaching methods are employed to ensure that each student progresses at their own pace.

At Sage Language School we help students achieve their goals in learning English, both to improve their daily communication in the language, and to prepare for official Cambridge examinations. At Sage College Academy, we offer specialized academic guidance and reinforcement at the college (face-to-face and online) to help each student reach their full potential. We have a wide range of extracurricular activities that include different dance disciplines and a wide range of sports.

Our students spend an average of 8 hours at school every day. Every single moment of the day at school must be part of their education and development as human beings. In addition to learning mathematical concepts, acquiring cultural and historical knowledge and learning to read and write in English or Spanish, as educators we know of the importance of the development of the character of our students. The psychosocial aspects of the learning process in the school must be very present in the curricular and non-curricular proposals. That is why we give so much importance to Workshops and Clubs in addition to extracurricular activities. Water safety and swimming, the importance of learning to take care of the environment in the Gardening Club or the benefits of music for our children are examples of unseen treasures that transform, not only the body or the mind but the soul and will provide them with tools that will accompany them the rest of their lives.
