Welcome to the St. Catherine's Moorlands School. Our school, founded by Mrs. Mabel De Cusatis de Mazzini in 1956 is, at present, the result of a long history grounded in the work done with responsibility, effort, sense of justice, respect for others and in the knowledge of sharing.

We think it is essential that our students here feel at home, to develop their full potential, to practice critical and reflective thinking, to make good use of technology, to care for others and the environment and to build a life project based on values.

The year 2020 brought radical changes in education. These changes will no doubt deepen, refine and strengthen during 2021 academic year. Together we learn, share and enjoy the surprises that this experience and a new school year offers.

The school's objectives for this year are:

  • to offer an educational experiences that focuses on Tripod Learning - this is the combination of self directed learning by the student, the support that parents offer and a teacher that designs learning experiences and ways of learning.
  • to work with flexibility to overcome the demands of this new context and ensure we are providing the best system of education for all.
  • to personalise children and young people's learning in the hybrid system - learning that takes place at home and at school.

St Catherine’s Moorlands has a strong commitment to excellence in education, encouraging an atmosphere for students to develop both as individuals and as members of our community. Through the acquisition of skills which favour communication and a holistic approach which enables a transfer of knowledge, St. Catherine’s Moorlands is set on confronting its students with an intellectual challenge. An education based on an appreciation of the student’s own culture, a better understanding of others’ and the enhancements of values is our contribution to a harmonious world.

The aim of these programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognising their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.
