Shanghai Soong Ching Ling School

Soong Ching Ling School (SCLS), founded in 2008, comprises primary, middle and high schools. SCLS supports individualization and promotes all-round development of each student. The school has set up rich, diverse and challenging curricula, which combines traditional Chinese culture with Western educational philosophy.

The educational system in domestic department of primary school in SCLS contain grade 1 to 5, including 15 classes. The school adopts an individualized teaching method having the two homeroom teachers sitting in the back of the classroom. Because the teachers and students share most of the times in school together, the bonds between them are based on mutual respect, trust and love. The school follows strictly the pattern of children's physical, mental and cognitive development from age 7 to 11, and guides them into acquiring good habit, igniting their interests in study and forming sound society relationships.
