If your child is willing to have fun and learn new things then I can promise you success. If they love dinosaurs then I’ll plan maths lessons using dinosaurs as stimulus. If they want to write about superheroes in the form of a comic to improve creative writing, I can plan for that too. We will work as a team to maximise lessons and future success.

After completing my BA Hons Primary Education degree in 2013, I have taught across Key Stage One and Two on a permanent basis. Meanwhile, I have gained experience in tutoring children from early years up to year 6 in a range of areas. From phonics to SATs preparation, I'll do my best to boost your child's confidence.

I believe that children should develop a love for learning and enjoy exploring the National Curriculum, within what should be a naturally creative environment. All children that I work with have commented on my `bubbly` and `fun` personality, thus making lessons enjoyable. I am known to sing and dance around the classroom whilst being caring and calm to those that need a more settled, black and white approach.

Key skills are developed in ways that are both traditional and contemporary. For example, learning the skills of addition through teacher led modelling and application before being reinforced through games.

Children should have a say in their learning journey to benefit both their understanding and experience of a topic. Communication with parents/carers and children is at the heart of my ethos.

I am passionate about working with children of all ages, ensuring that they make the progress which is perfect for their ability rather than the `age expected progress`. This might be too ambitious or not challenging enough, therefore lessons must be (and will be) customised for each individual.
