I am an experienced corporate and academic trainer and tutor with a robust and diverse career spanning over three decades. My journey has allowed me to acquire a deep understanding of multiple disciplines within the realms of business, education, and management. I hold an MPhil in Quality Management and a Master’s degree in Business Education, with a major in Marketing. Additionally, I have a postgraduate diploma in Total Quality Management (TQM), which has further enhanced my expertise in quality management systems. My academic background is a solid foundation for my extensive experience in both corporate and academic environments.

My MPhil research focused on the application of the Balanced Scorecard in an academic institution. This research examined how the Balanced Scorecard, a strategic planning and management tool, could be utilized to align academic quality with the broader institutional vision and objectives. It aimed to bridge the gap between strategy and operational activities, ensuring that all functional units within an institution contribute to the overall mission. This focus on alignment between vision and academic objectives provided me with valuable insights into the intricate relationships between different elements, a skill set I continue to use in my professional career.

Over the years, I have worked across a variety of sectors, including teaching, training, marketing, strategy development, project management, business transformation, and business process re-engineering. My professional experience extends across multiple countries, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain, where I have been privileged to work with leading companies and academic institutions. In each of these roles, I have been able to apply my extensive knowledge to align functional units within organizations with the overall vision, mission, and strategic objectives. My work has involved developing systems, policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs) that are aligned with defined objectives and performance measures. In doing so, I have frequently utilized international standards and best practices, including the Balanced Scorecard, Total Quality Management (TQM), Kaizen, ISO 9001, and Lean Management principles.

As an educator, I have taught a wide range of subjects at the undergraduate level, including Project Management, Strategic Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Marketing. My teaching methodology integrates various strategies aimed at enhancing students’ emotional and social intelligence. This approach has proven effective in fostering a conducive learning environment that encourages student engagement and critical thinking. I utilize a range of pedagogical tools and strategies, including Bloom’s Taxonomy, case study methods, quizzes, hands-on activities, discussions, and videos, to ensure that my students gain a well-rounded understanding of the subjects I teach.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have extensive experience in delivering training programs, particularly in the areas of personal and professional development. I have delivered training sessions on a variety of topics, such as: Balanced Scorecard, Grit / Growth Mindset, Service Quality, Science of Motivation, GEMBA Walk, Change Management, Strategic Planning, Emotional Intelligence, Science of Well-being, Achieving Peak Academic Performance, Self-discovery, IT Service Management (ITIL), Establishing Project Management Office, Introduction to Quality Management (ISO 9001), Team Building and Synergy, Use of 5s in Office Environment, Reducing waste in Academic Environment, Working with Business Processes, and Lean Management.

These certifications, combined with my experience, allow me to offer valuable insights and practical tools that help individuals and organizations improve their performance and achieve their goals.

These courses have enriched my understanding of various emerging trends and innovative practices in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, business, and education. Some of the notable courses I have completed include: An Introduction to Consumer Neuroscience & Neuromarketing from Copenhagen Business School, Social Psychology from Wesleyan University, the Foundation of Positive Psychology Specialization from the University of Pennsylvania, The Growth Mindset from the University of California Davis, Managing Emotions in Times of Uncertainty & Stress from Yale University, and The Science of Well-being also from Yale University. Furthermore, I have completed the Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner program and a 35 PDUs training for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
