As we close out our first term at Newlands School, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for our community’s achievements. This term has been marked by several significant milestones, beginning with our first-ever, successful BSO (British Schools Overseas) inspection. The feedback from the inspectors was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the exceptional quality of our teaching, parent relationships, and commitment to providing an outstanding learning environment. I would like to thank all of our staff, students, and families for their continued dedication and support.

This year saw the opening of our first Post 16 provision at Newlands School; offering a range of A-level and BTEC courses that fulfil our commitment to being a fully inclusive school. We are proud to have welcomed our first cohort of Year 12 students and we look forward to supporting them on their journey to university and employment.

Newlands has also been highly active in the local community this term, having led community beach walks, desert clean-up initiatives, university fairs and taking part in the Dubai fitness 30×30. Our students, parents and teachers have represented the school with pride and showcased our amazing community spirit in the name of good causes.

Our students have once again amazed us with their talent and enthusiasm. From the vibrant Eid Al Etihad celebrations and performances to the elegant Student Council Investiture Ceremony, we have celebrated a host of incredible achievements. It’s been heartwarming to see our students showcase their skills, creativity, and teamwork across various events and activities.

This term, teacher development and collaboration have been a key focus. Our staff have engaged in enriching professional development opportunities, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of innovative teaching practices. The collaboration between departments has been inspiring, creating a truly supportive and dynamic teaching environment.
