Oonrak Koh Samui School

Oonrak Koh Samui School offers a fully immersive bilingual learning programme. Our facilities include spacious classrooms, specialist ESL classes, newly designed Science laboratories and a large library. Furthermore, we offer a 30 station computer suite, dance studio, music room, meditation room and art room. Our playground and colourful outdoor playing equipment are situated within tropical landscaped gardens. Our full-sized covered swimming pool, outdoor running track and our covered football pitch enable us to host a number of sports events each term between other schools on Koh Samui.

Students follow half of their timetable in English and half in Thai. This enables students to master both languages simultaneously. The subjects taught in English are English Language, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education and Swimming. The subjects taught in Thai are Thai Language, Mathematics, Science, Computing, Art and Social Studies. Students follow the Thai National Curriculum, supplemented with the British National Curriculum and the Cambridge International Curriculum.

All year groups are led by an experienced teacher with a university-level education. Here at Oonrak, we believe it’s important for students to enhance their skills, knowledge and personal development within a happy environment to ensure they become confident to use the language at an International level. They will gain the communication skills and understanding of Thai and English, to enable them to live happily within Thailand or elsewhere in the world. The extensive variety of extracurricular activities offered, promotes further development for students socially and academically, as well as benefiting their health and wellbeing.
